Virus i think? scared?

i have a windows 7 laptop and i didint put the updates on it till now i put one of em on. a malisous software tool checker ro somthing. and i downloaded tht one and it ran i guess. and it brought up like 10 updates for virus's or threats or somthing. like sceruty updates. should i download them? also my runescape account got hacked the other day wyle i wasint on and i didint think i had a key logger but idk. it was like dureing a week i wasint on.
