Higher studies in mechanical and automobile engg?

hey hi friends,am about to complete my studies in mechanical engineering,i would like to know what are all the possible higher studies i can do in that field, when ever i ask my mates they just say M.S IN AUTOMOBILE OR MECHANICAL...am vexed up with it..so i would like to know what are all the sub-branches in mechanical.engg in which i can pursue my higher studies??
