Progressive Insurance "Snapshot" device?

Has anyone out there utilized this device offer from Progressive Insurance. They say you could qualify for a 30% discount but I imagine they could also raise your rate or drop you if you drive like a whacko. I assume it is some sort of data logger. Any comments???
